Jay, New York · Adirondacks
A sanctuary at the edge of the forest.
Where stillness is the design.
The Space
Newly constructed and owner-designed, Rakūn Holløw brings a Japandi philosophy to the Adirondack wilderness: warm natural materials, deliberate restraint, and a quiet that hotel walls can never provide. Every detail — from the custom timber joinery to the curated bedding — was chosen to let you arrive fully.
Location
Ausable Acres sits in the Adirondack Park, one of the largest protected wilderness areas in the contiguous United States. The AuSable River runs nearby. Whiteface Mountain rises above the tree line. Lake Placid — with its Olympic legacy and year-round culture — is minutes away. This is the kind of place you arrive to and immediately exhale.
